While the kids were away at camp - I spent my summer immersed in meditation classes and books to get ready for my upcoming fall session of Mindful Eating. Of special note was reading a new book by my teacher, Andrea Lieberstein, called Well Nourished. In addition to MB-EAT (mindfulness based eating awareness training) exercises offered in previous classes – I will be incorporating Andrea’s work with self-compassion and mindful eating into the upcoming 6-class session.
If you are new to the work of meditation and mindful eating, this is a perfect opportunity to learn a non-diet approach to improving your relationship with food. Our class is designed to be a small and warm environment where we can grow together.
If you have attended a previous Your Inner Kitchen Mindful Eating class, this is a great time to brush up on your skills and to add a more compassionate voice to your practice. I am also offering a $25 discount to former students, workshop and retreat attendees.
I am pleased to announce the next session of Mindful Eating will begin Wednesday, October 18th from 10-11:30 am. I will be offering a free/intro session on Wednesday, September 13th from 10-11 am. The class will be taught in my home in Kemp Mill, Silver Spring. The cost is $200 for new students and $175 for returning students.
